National Pan-Hellenic Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at Michigan State University proudly represents 6 of the 9 historically African American fraternities and sororities known as the Divine Nine. These organizations hold a distinguished legacy of cultural pride, leadership, and service, both on campus and across the nation.
NPHC organizations provide members with lifelong bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, rooted in a deep respect for their rich cultural and historical heritage. Members are empowered to make a difference through philanthropy, with service projects that positively impact the East Lansing community and beyond.
Academics and personal development are also central to the NPHC experience. From scholarship balls to educational programming, these fraternities and sororities are committed to helping their members excel in all areas of life. By joining an NPHC organization, students become part of a legacy of excellence and service that continues to inspire generations.
